Mostly volunteers? Fifteen minutes to learn it.

What it took at Festival of Curiosity, run by two, and at BEIA, run by one volunteer.

  1. Before

One try-out. The festival team rehearsed in its office; BEIA’s organiser tested it at home.

  2. On the day

One or two people. At the festival, one person started sessions and another edited; a volunteer ran every BEIA session.

  3. In the room

A QR code and a word from the MC. BEIA showed the code at the entrances and in the breaks, and the MC explained it each morning.

What each room needs: one audio feed and one QR code.

“I did a quick test at home with my laptop in front of a TV show… It took about 15 minutes to really get to grips with it.”

London Community Week 2026 · one square per official post: each speaker’s card on each of the three Pages
We’re mostly volunteers. How many people does it take?

One or two. Two ran Festival of Curiosity’s 130+ activities: one started sessions, the other edited in real time. One volunteer ran BEIA’s conference with Snapsight.

Can we run it with no AV team?

Yes. At WiT Japan & North Asia 2024, one person handled the AV, the setup and the integration. Each room needs its sound sent to a laptop running Snapsight, with a reliable internet connection. How it works

How do attendees find it?

By QR code. CityDNA printed it on every badge and reached 65% of attendees. BEIA showed it on the entrance screens and in the breaks, put it on table sheets and in the conference app, and the MC explained it each morning.

Our speakers switch languages mid-sentence. Does that work?

Yes. Snapsight follows a speaker who switches language mid-sentence. Festival of Curiosity ran German and English, Austrian dialect included.

Can attendees read in another language?

Yes, each on their own phone. GSTC2025, the Global Sustainable Tourism Conference in Fiji, offered multilingual summaries to delegates from more than 40 countries.

How do speakers share their session?

Each speaker gets a private Speaker Remix link, chooses their takeaways and reviews the card and the post. Nothing is shared until they choose to share it.

What’s free for community events?

Live text translation for every event: every room at once, up to 10 languages per session, and 100 sessions a year. Takeaways, reports and Speaker Remix are paid. See pricing

Do visitors need an app?

No. They scan the QR code and read in their browser.

Tell us about your festival. We’ll show you what visitors get.

Live text translation is free for every event, so you can start with one session.
